Introduction
This table lists all the views for all the users in your account, including published views. You can also see input views that are part of a composite, mashup, or scorecard view.
Fields
In addition to the common fields, the View Table includes the following fields
Auth Data Source
If specified, and the user accessing the view is not logged in, a single sign-on process is performed against this data source.
Chart Output Filter
If specified, this output filter applies to the view when it’s displayed as a chart. Output filter is encoded in XML.
Composite
“true” if this is a composite view.
Data Source
The name of the data source of the table on which this view is based on. See “Table” below.
Description
An optional description of the view. A description is provided for some system views.
Drill Down Roles
If specified, one of these roles is required for drill down actions. If the user does not have a matching role and the user is not an admin user, then the user cannot drill down.
Drill Through Roles
If specified, one of these roles is required for drill through (details) actions. If the user does not have a matching role and the user is not an admin user, then the user cannot drill to details.
Filter
If specified, this is the filter for this view. The filter applies to the view whether it’s a list, pivot, or chart. The filter is encoded in XML.
Get Data Counter
The number of times that this view was displayed at all times by all users. This is a cumulative counter that’s incremented each time someone displays this view.
Has Data
A view may be published frozen or cached. In that case Has Data has a value other than “false” and the view is said to have data.
Ignore Company Separation
If “true”, the view is set to disregard company separation. This is only applicable if company separation is used.
Import Source Id
If this view was imported from XML, this field has the universally unique id of the view that was exported to XML.
Label
The view title.
List Mashup Type
If this view is a list mashup, this field specifies the type of mashup desired.
List Output Filter
If specified, this output filter applies to the view when it’s displayed as a list. Output filter is encoded in XML.
List Top N
If specified and the view is a list, the display is limited to the number of rows specified.
Mashup
“true” if this view is a mashup view.
Name
The view name. Typically, it’s the same as the label (title).
Pivot Output Filter
If specified, this output filter applies to the view when it’s displayed as a pivot. Output filter is encoded in XML.
Pivot Top N
If specified and the view is a pivot, the display is limited to the number of rows specified.
Published
This field is “true” of the view is a published view, “false” otherwise.
Published Requires Login
This field is “true” if the view is published and the user is required to login to see the view. The default is “true”. If the value is “false”, it means that the user can display the view even if they are not logged into Explore Analytics.
Purpose
This field shows the purpose of the view. A normal view has a value of “user_view”. Other purposes include a slicer, or an input view of a mashup, a scorecard, a track trend job, a slicer or a composite.
Read Roles
For shared views, read roles can restrict access to users with one of the specified roles.
Scorecard
“true” if this view is a scorecard view.
Scorecard Group
“true” if this view is a scorecard group.
Source Id
The id of the view from which this view was copied. A copy is made when the user selects “Make a copy” from the “File” menu, or when a view is published or added to a mashup for example.
Subtitle
The view’s subtitle. A subtitle is optional.
Table
The name of the view’s table. A mashup, scorecard, slicer, or composite do not have a table. They draw their data from their input views.
Tags
This field has tags associated with this view.
Type
A view can be switched between a list, a pivot, and a chart. The type is the current selection (e.g., “list”). Note that while the type is not applicable to a scorecard, it might display “pivot” rather than blank.
User
The user who own this view or empty if it’s a shared view. The user field is a reference to the user in the user table. You can access fields from that table directly, for example to see views that belong to inactive users, for example.
Write Roles
For a shared view, write roles can restrict editing of the view to users with one of the specified roles.
