What's New in this Release

New Filter Functionality

  • "is same", "is different" - compare similarities between two date fields, e.g., "opened is same year as closed"
  • "is less than", "is more than" - compare time duration between two date fields, e.g., "opened is less than 2 months before closed"
  • "later than", "earlier than" - comparing time duration again the current time, e.g., "opened later than 2 weeks ago"
  • "is same as", "is different from" - comparing two non-datetime fields, e.g., "priority is same as severity"
  • "is < field", "is <= field", "is > field", "is >= field" - comparing two numeric fields, e.g., "updates is < field reassignments"

New Explore Analytics Widget

When adding a content block to a home page, you can now select "Explore Analytics" from the list on the left (instead of "Content Block"). The list on the right will then only show Explore Analytics published content.

How to Upgrade

Download the Explore Analytics Update Set by following these steps:

  • In the Explore Analytics user interface, select "Add a new data source" from the "Data" menu
  • Select "ServiceNow"
  • In the dialog, you'll find a link to download the latest update set (XML file)

Once you have the update set XML file, apply it to your ServiceNow instance (or instances) that use Explore Analytics

Supported Releases

The update set supports the Berlin, Calgary, Dublin, Eureka, and Fuji releases of ServiceNow. Support for additional releases may be added as these releases become available.
